I just found a great way to remove printing! Sanding sponges (basicly a foam block with sand glued to it) are faster than brasso/polish but they don't mess up the plastic like files. Just make sure it's Fine grade. (but not Very Fine, it's too slow and you can polish the plastic after you sand it anyway)
