This MOC shows the evacuation of Bespin, Han in Carbonite and the most memorable scene, Luke and Vader's battle. This MOC has a playset feel so some of the proportions are out. I would say it is built to be like the 10188 Death Star. The bottom level is designed so you can see the slope, but not making it too dark as I feel it would suppress the general feel of the MOC.

This was my entry to the Star Wars Contest Small Category. I hope it does well but there were some very good models and I don't know if a lot of people will support me. I hope you liked it and please comment. The voting has started now and I do not think I am doing very well but Oh Well, people obviously think there are other better MOCs.

Lovely scene you have there, Burman. My only compaint is that the bottom scene's background should be a pinkish tan, but of course, not that many people have that much of that color. Wink

Eh, the evac and Luke's duel are so-so, the evac is just too plain and the greys on the bottom level look too random. The carbonite chamber looks good, but it's the same design almost as your contest entry.

    An Interesting MOC,
Firstly of all, I like the middle section the most. It is very solid in design, and unmistakible as to what it is. Personally, I would have thrown in a little bit of trans red or blue, as that is the design that is shown in Starwars: Battlefront in the Bespin Cloud City map.
The top section and bottom section are lackluster, however. The top is essentially just a bunch of white tiles spread areound with some minifigs running. Something like them loading into a section of the falcon or shooting down some troopers would have spiced it up. As for the bottom section, I can see that you were going for that bottomless pit look, but I just don't see it. I know that the downward slop of the tiles is mean to represent that, but again, there isn't as much bulk to this portion as the middle portion. With that said, the MOC is an original idea for a Bespin MOC, and I always like Death-Star layered looks.

The carbonite chamber is very good, although it looks a little too similar to the Emperor's Throne Room rather than the the chamber. Some trans-oranges would help to improve that. I don't care for the ground of the Bespin Duel scene, although I see what you were trying to do there. It could still benefit from looking more like a large tunnel rather than an angled floor.

The Bespin scene needs work, though. When I first saw it, I thought it was something to do with the Hoth base, what with all the white. There needs to be more tan detailing in the walls, the floors should be tiled (I'm usually not a stickler for tiled floors, but if you're trying to recreate Bespin, it would work wonders), and there just needs to be more in the architecture that resembles Bespin. If you're unclear of what I mean, watch the scenes in the Bespin escape in Empire, look at what other builders have done with it, or look at LEGO's own Cloud City set or the Cloud City level in LSWII- both are fairly accurate representations of the corridors.

Overall, though, it looks pretty dang good. Just some minor detailing on the last two levels and some work on the Bespin evac scene will really help to make it better.
