Ambush in Norweigaland!

It was the winter of 2048. I was part of a cell in the Norwegialand Army, which is dedicated to battling the ever expanding Belgian Empire, which then extended over all of Western and Central Europe. They drew the AFETF (The government acronyms have gotten much worse in the last few decades; these guys represented most of Western Europe's military) in with their waffles, and the next thing they knew, they were being controlled by a brutal tyranny. Anyways, my cell was on a mission to ambush the regional controller of Northwest Europe. The Norwegialand Army had managed to retain control of most of Scandanavia, despite the fact that the Belgian propaganda machine refused to acknowledge it. We were still engaged in a large-scale guerilla battle, which had stranded a large contingent of Belgian troops. Our intel said that the regional controller, formerly an infamous Russian Count, had been stranded along with them. He was going to be moved back to a more secure location within the encircled area. They couldn't have moved by truck, as their fuel was being closely rationed and we had full air supremacy in the area. My team, already behind enemy lines, was given the ambush assignment. We moved quickly into a perfect position next to a tank-track ridden road. Our cell leader, who had lost his arm in recent battles, even came up with the idea of positioning the corpse of a dead Belgian Infantryman at the side of the road near our position. It was the perfect ambush. As the enemies stepped into view, I crept out from behind a rock and looked down the sights of my MGL...
